Roading New Zealand, NZ Contractors Federation and InfraTrain support the Government's view that there is a strong relationship between skills development and productivity, but suggests that the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) should consult the civil construction industry regarding the definition and value of Health & Safety training, and that it should take a longer-term view of compliance courses for Health & Safety.
