Roading NZ responds to NZTA discussion document on Bitumen Price Fluctuation

Roading New Zealand has responded to a Discussion Document, "An Investigation into Bitumen Prices", produced by NZTA, by advocating a move away from bitumen weighting to volumetrics; changing from an index approach to actual dollar changes in bitumen prices; and proposing that bitumen price market fluctuations should be applied to all contracts regardless of contract duration.
