Funding Implications of the New Zealand Transport Strategy on the Contracting Industry This paper identifies the funding impacts of the New Zealand Transport Strategy on the Contracting Industry and sets out the Industry's response to them. Topics include: Impacts on plant, labour and material supply; Need for certainty to encourage investment in plant and people; Possible changes to procurement policies to reflect the strategy; Strategies to address skill shortages in the industry.

Building and Maintaining the Network under the New Zealand Transport Strategy This Paper considers how the Contracting Industry can assist the Government's implementation of the New Zealand Transport Strategy. This Strategy was launched in December 2002 and is about creating a sustainable transport system.
